Whether you’re a local or a visitor from afar, we’d be delighted to spend even more time with you before and/or after Saturday’s main event.
FRIDAY (and earlier)
Here are a few local attractions of note:
- Visit the Hobbiton movie set! (2-hour drive from Auckland)
- Tour the Hobbiton film set from the Lord of the Rings. Tickets are $79 for adults; $35.50 for children ages 9 to 16; and free for kids under 9.
- Take a Waiheke wine tour (30-minute ferry ride from Auckland)
- Waiheke Island in Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf is spectacular and easy to reach. A 35-minute ferry trip leaves from Auckland's Downtown Ferry Building to Waiheke every hour.
- This Wine on Waiheke tour takes in three amazing Waiheke vineyards. The cost of the ticket ($130) includes ferry tickets, wine tasting and a bus pass for exploring Waiheke after the tour. Adults only; lunch not included.
- Hike the Waitakere Ranges (an hour’s drive from Auckland)
SUNDAY
Those who haven't gotten their fill on Saturday are welcome to return for a lazy Sunday brunch!
Come any time from 11am until the food runs out!
