Friday: The Trial
Nick and Nancy: Human or robot?
NNWW Gathering (June 3, 2016, Quaker Lodge)
The question brought before the jury of N&N’s peers concerned the very nature of the co-defendants: are they human, or are they robots?
Both prosecution and defense made their cases, with the help (and sometimes cooperation) of a full line-up of witnesses. As the hot summer evening wore on, unanticipated reversals and surprise testimony kept everyone in suspense.
The verdict remained too close to call until the very end, when the defendants were declared… not guilty! That is: N&N are definitely not guilty of definitely both being robots!
(Note: this conclusion was apparently not convincing to all parties…)
