South Bay

Sightseeing

We do not endorse the South Bay as much of a tourist target, but it does have some attractions for tech buffs.

  • The Googleplex, of course! If you’re interested in where N&N met (and NC works), you might want to check it out. We’ll probably arrange for a tour for those in town before/after the wedding.
  • Apple! There’s the Apple Company Store too.
  • Winetasting at Ridge (http://www.ridgewine.com/)
  • Techie museums
    • Computer History Museum (http://www.computerhistory.org/), in Mountain View just down the street from Google
    • San Jose’s Children’s Discovery Museum (https://www.cdm.org/)- great for young kids (probably best <8yo)
    • Tech Museum: great for older kids and adults
    • Santa Clara’s Intel Museum (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/company-overview/intel-museum.html)
  • More historical
  • You can always wander downtown Mountain View (Castro Street), Palo Alto (University Ave.), Los Altos (Main Street) and even Sunnyvale (Murphy Street) if you want to see the best of the not-so-best. They’re not the worst, anyway.

Food

There are some places worth going. We’ll remember them eventually.
